Well, a couple of days ago I passed the Microsoft 70-229 exam, Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. The book I used to study for this exam was by Microsoft Press, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database Design and Implementation. I wasn't very impressed with this book as it left a bit to be desired. It seemed to only make reference to some important items on the test, and it would introduce new items in script examples with no explanation. Plus, I found the sample questions in the book not very reflective of the style of questions on the test. I realize that it is difficult to cover the entire topic of SQL databases in one book, but I feel this book could have done a much better job. Steer away from it if you can.
